The rich variety of backcountry trails starts only 300 metres from the Monte Sella Hotel. The Marebbe valley, which leads into Fanes Sennes Braies Nature Park about 12 km from San Vigilio, is an incomparable backdrop for this sport. Multiple loops of different lengths have been set up to give everyone the chance to experience this Nordic discipline - the longest is 24 km. The runs are made to match any skier's skill level. Access is open to all winter holidaymakers starting at Pespesc, at the edge of San Vigilio. Tracks specifically for skating are available alongside those for lovers of the classic style. At both the midpoint and the top of the valley, lodges are waiting to provide refreshment for hungry and thirsty skiers. The ski schools in San Vigilio di Marebbe also offer cross-country courses at the practice terrain where the trails begin.
